evaluation

How organised were you as a group? What elements of organisation were vital to you as a production group?   we were fairly organised, we structured what to do each lesson however sometimes we did not get everything filmed that we needed too.   What technologies did you use and how did they serve to develop your skills as a media practitioner?  How creative do you think you were during this process? What elements of the project required creativity and imagination, even though you were given a very structured brief to 'copy'? How successful do you think your first draft video is? Use examples from the film to illustrate your evaluations. In preparation for the next stage of your production work, what knowledge of experience will you take with you into the next project.

research task: Dance videos

What makes all of these music videos from the dance music genre? All 3 videos use a lot of dance throughout the whole video. All three videos do not present the artist singing the videos focus on the dancers. This shows that the artists intentions was for there music to be danced to and they are not bothered about being presented in the video.  2.  Explore how the artists are using representation to appeal to their target audience in these three videos by picking out key frames from the video to analyse.  Thin, sporty people are presented. All very good looking. Perfect bodies and perfect appearance. represents the perfect dancers. The artists have represented their music with a group of stereotypical dancers.  3. What other music videos could you find from the same genre? Outline two and explain why you think they are termed dance.

Framing-The framing of our shot is almost identical to the original as the size of the man in both images are practically the same, and the width and height are completely equal. All the elements of our frame were exact and we were very happy with the result. Lighting- I think our set up is slightly brighter than the original as we used above lights to try and give the impression of a natural lighting. In the original the light comes from the sides and above to focus on the man and we have tried to emulate this by the use of overhead lights and a light from behind the camera. The lighting has the effect of making the image of the man clear, therefore achieving our goal. Mise en scene- Our costumes choices were very similar to the original, the only difference being the colours of the chequered shirt. We have copied the writing on the paper and all our props used match. The setting of our video was in a completely white room, therefore differing from the original. If we had

Three point lighting

Three point Lighting The Three Point Lighting Technique is a standard method used in visual media such as video, film, still photography and computer-generated imagery. It is a simple but versatile system which forms the basis of most lighting. Once you understand three point lighting you are well on the way to understanding all lighting. The technique uses three lights called the key light , fill light and back light . Naturally you will need three lights to utilise the technique fully, but the principles are still important even if you only use one or two lights. As a rule: If you only have one light, it becomes the key. If you have 2 lights, one is the key and the other is either the fill or the backlight. Key Light This is the main light. It is usually the strongest and has the most influence on the look of the scene. It is placed to one side of the camera/subject so that this side is well lit and the other side has some shadow. Fill Light This is the
