The product being sold is an energy drink produced by the company Lucozade. The retail price for this product sells for £1.25. Lucozade is a soft drink manufactured by the Japanese company Suntory and marketed as a range of sports and energy drinks. Created as "Glucozade" in the UK in 1927 by a Newcastle pharmacist, 
Who is the target audience? Explain.
The target audience would be anyone who participates in sport mainly. As they claim that this drink will benefit them when participating in their sport. The company claims that this drink will 'During medium to high intensity exercise your body uses carbohydrates for the energy you need. Lucozade Sport provides 32g of carbohydrates as well as electrolytes which together help enhance your hydration and maintain endurance performance.' Anybody performing in sports would need the benefits from this drink. 
What representations are evident in the advert?
The representations that are mainly evident is the Lucozade sports drink and the footballer behind the drink. 
Why have such representations been employed?
The Lucozade sports drink is representing the companies product that they are selling.  The Footballer in the background is representing a sportsman who would use this drink during performance in their sport.
In what ways do the adverts appeal to the target audience?
This advert would appeal to their target audience which is mainly people who participate in sport. It would appeal to them as they have used a Footballer on the front of their advertising. The footballer stands out and is very eye-catching. The 'sports' drink is near the footballer therefore this suggests the footballer drinks the Lucozade. The audience would take from this that the footballers performance is on such a high level due the benefits of the  energy drink. 
Are the adverts successful? Explain your answer. 
Yes the adverts are successful as Lucozade is a popular sports drink brand. The way they use the Footballer to advertise adds to the success as they are showing how professional and successful sportsmen are using this drink for their own sport. The audience who look up to these sportsmen as role models would use the products they use to be successful. Bringing in more income for the company. 
colour pallet 
The main colour combination is dark blue, light blue and bright yellow. The colours used on the background correlate with the colours of the product being sold. The Lucozade bottles colours match the colour scheme.
