In this music video women are very empowering and in control. They were showing that women are strong and that they can fight. However there was a lot of makeup, handbags, heels and lots of other womanly associated objects during the video. This suggests that these women are showing strong empowerment but are still acting in a womanly stereotypical way. But this may have a positive side to it as it may be showing that women who are stereotypically womanly also are strong and can fight against men and that they are not just objects that do nothing that they can protect themselves and that they are just as equally able to fight like men. I think that this music video is very targeted at women because it is sending a very strong message to females that they are not just objects and that they can make a change to the way the world sees women through men's eyes.

Men are in power during this video as in the video Justin Timberlake is singing about a women's body and surrounding him is naked women. All the women in the video have figures in the way that a man supposedly likes the way a women looks. The way women are presented in this video may imply to women that they have to look like that or that is what men are attracted to. women may feel obliged to change there selves to look the way these women do. This music video is very targeted at men as the women are very focused on throughout the video and its not really needed. The women are used as distractions and the males of the audience would get easily distracted and will possibly not even notice what the lyrics are saying. The video is very based on women being used as just objects and Justin Timberlake has used the women in the video to get more males to notice his music. however he has gone the wrong way about it by degrading women.




 


 Rihanna music video

 In this music video women are presented very sexually. women are dancing around and throwing money in the air carelessly. The women dancing in this video are very confident in themselves and they are not scared to show their talent. For a female audience they would watch this video and would want to look as good as these women and they will want to be as confident with their body's like how Rihanna and these other women are. however for a younger audience the actions and behaviour of these women during this video are very inappropriate and not suitable for it to be watched. The women are very empowering as they are not scared to be very confident and they really embrace being female. The way they are throwing money In the air suggests that they can earn their own money and provide for themselves.

American Beauty - scene analysis       Camera work T he scene starts off with showing these photos before it transitions to the dinner table. The  camera work uses a slow zoom when showing the photos. This gives the audience time to look at the photos and get the impression of how the family used to be. From the photos shown to the audience given three photos of Jane from when she was younger. The photos of Jane show that she had a happy childhood as she appears full of laughter and happiness in the photos. showing these photos of Jane happy when she was younger shows how much she has changed before we see her in the present day.
